Under the title “Invisible Rules of the Game – Power and Micropolitics in the Academic World,” junior professors and postdocs from Leipzig discussed key challenges and necessary changes in the academic system with Prof. Dr. Jutta Allmendinger. The event brought together around 25 academics in the R3 phase from the Leipzig Academic Network for the first time.
The exchange focused, among other things, on the importance of meeting spaces beyond the strictly professional context, the need for contemporary men's policies, and more permeable and flexible career paths in science. At the same time, it was emphasized that current social backlashes against gender equality continue to require attention and clear positions.
The event was moderated by Prof. Dr. Julia Sacher and organized by the Leipzig Science Network e. V. in cooperation with the Young Forum of the Saxon Academy of Sciences in Leipzig and with the support of Dr. Antje Nolting, Mandy Uhlig, and Agnes Silberhorn.
